The Full Reception Edit is a string of multiple edits, that take place during the wedding reception. The edits include the grand entrance, cake cutting, toasts, first dances, garter and bouquet toss. The edit will be included in your online deliverable.

Why is it special?

The "Full Reception Edit" lets you take in the entirety of the reception; those ridiculous dance moves while entering the reception, your friends toast, heartfelt tears during the first dance, and so much more. The duration depends on the length of the formalities.

As stated above, we capture the main events of your reception. But we understand those may not always be the main events at your reception. Your wedding isn't a cookie-cutter mold; neither is the way we approach your wedding. We always try to be attentive and present to the uniqueness of your day. Because of that, we understand the "formalities" is just one stroke in a bigger picture that makes up the moment. In our edits, you will often find candid moments tacked onto the beginning and of each sequence.

The "Full Ceremony Edit" may not be for the person who gets bored quickly. The reception can run long, and some sites claim that you will never watch it. While that may be true, we believe it is a staple for any wedding collection and provide it as an option for all our couples.

How long will you be at the reception?

Our “Full Reception Edits” add-on has no effect on how long we will be at your reception. It is an additional edit in the final product. The hourly coverage will be the main factor in how long we stay at the reception. Before each wedding we have a “Discovery Session” to get to know you better and figure out how to best cover your day. If it ends up you might need more hours then we will recommend “additional hours.”

FAQ’s

If I don't select "Full Reception Edit," will you still record the Wedding Reception?

Yes, 100%. We will film the ceremony the same way regardless of the "Full Reception Edit." The difference is the deliverables you will receive through your online showcase or USB option. If your collection does not include the "Full Reception Edit," we will not make the edit unless notified otherwise.

If I don't have the "Full Reception Edit," can I add it after the wedding?

Yes, you can add the "Full Reception Edit" from our Ala Carte options after the wedding. It is more affordable to select a collection that includes the edit, but the choice is always there.

When is the latest I can add the "Full Reception Edit"?

Journey Home Films is only liable to keep your footage protected until we have delivered your collection. We would recommend adding any edits in the weeks before the delivery of your collection. If you would like to hold onto your media files longer and potentially have us create more edits, then we would recommend looking at the "What is RAW Footage?" post.
