What is RAW Footage?

RAW Footage is an add-on delivering the raw un-edited footage of your wedding day for those who want to go above and beyond in archiving the day.
What will I receive?
You will receive a portable hard drive with all of your wedding files on it, including but not limited to the original audio, video, and drone files from the day. It will look similar to the screenshots on the right.

Once you have the RAW footage, you officially have the ingredients to create any film you want from the day. Most couples do not have the expertise to do so, but it allows for that possibility down the road.

You will be able to click on and play the RAW footage. However, we want to give you a fair warning that a lot of the footage is out of focus, blurry, or just of nothing. Our focus is always on creating a timeless piece for you and your family, not on creating perfect watchable videos in-camera. We cut nearly 40% of the shaky, blurry and dull footage out in post-production. When watching, you will most likely find some gems, but you will also find a lot of shaky footage. This one reason many videographers are hesitant to offer RAW Footage.
Why don’t you keep the files?
Journey Home Films keeps the entirety of your files until the film is complete. The edited film will always be accessible through online delivery; however, after the edited film is finished, we are not liable to keep track of any RAW footage. We oftentimes keep the RAW footage, but we are not responsible for its preservation. Thus, the RAW Footage add-on is a great way to ensure your footage will be stored safely in your own hands for future use.
