Ashley & Jesse’s Jasper, IN Wedding Video
Here are five things to know about Jesse & Ashley’s Jasper, IN wedding.
#1 The Spirit
I'm going esoteric here, but you are on this website, so welcome to the club. The first thing to know is something you should feel. This couple has a fire burning between them. They have been together for 11 years and have aged like good wine. They have the most kind, gentle and present interactions. The film starts with them standing at the altar for that reason. Jesse is literally shaking in excitement. As he puts it,
"It's what you imagine throughout the entire planning process, and it comes down to one moment. Also, what's supposed to be an intimate moment was shared with about 200 people, which adds to the excitement/nervousness."
It's such an honest moment that sums up the spirit of their relationship. They care. There are many more moments, like how Jesse and Ashley embrace each other on the last dance or their thoughtful answers at our discovery dinner.
#2 Trust
I was so psyched to film Jesse and Ashley's day. Why? Because we hit it off so well at our discovery dinner. We developed trust that gave me the green light to tell their story as honestly as possible. They knew why I was there; to document/witness their friends and family. I think this takes so much pressure off the couple to "perform" or "please." Plus, I knew what and who mattered to them, which influenced what I would film and eventually edit.
#3 Reception Decor
Ashley's dad reminded everyone, "Ashley loves nice things," and then delivered on the remark by designing a stunning reception space. A ginormous "Cheers" sign stood at the entrance nodding to one of their favorite bars in St. Louis. A complete living room set also greeted the guests outside the entrance. Inside, a ginormous gazebo-looking thing served as a centerpiece with the head table sitting beneath it. It was truly remarkable! Also worth noting, they had ice cream from Zax Creamery. They also had a classic rock band named Studebaker, who did an excellent job!
#4 Details.
The Wedding was held at St. Joseph's church in Jasper, IN. Fr. Andrew Thomas officiated the mass. Jesse and the groomsmen got ready in his father's man cave. Ashley's mom opened her home for the bridesmaids. After the Wedding, the bridal party joined together to party in a train named "The Spirit of Jasper." The night concluded at the newly built Thyen-Clark Cultural Center. See below for more of the vendor information.
#5 The Father-of-the-Groom & I Danced.
I just thought I should put that on here. I laugh every time I think of it. He certainly cared about the life of the party and would kick start anyone who looked like they needed a little push to the dancefloor.
